The Daily Five ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at thedailyfive.net and related subdomains. We make free daily word puzzle games.

Account information. If you choose to sign in, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). You may also sign in with your Google account, in which case we receive your name and profile picture from Google.

Game data. We store your game results, scores, and coin balance in your browser's local storage. If you are signed in, this data may be associated with your account in our Firebase database.

Usage data. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised data about how visitors use our site (pages visited, time spent, general location). This data does not personally identify you.

Cookies. Firebase Authentication uses cookies to keep you signed in. Google Analytics uses cookies for analytics. No advertising cookies are used.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to operate the games — displaying your name on leaderboards, tracking your daily play status, and awarding coins. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication and data storage, and Google Analytics for anonymised usage analytics. These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Game data stored locally in your browser remains until you clear your browser data. Account data in Firebase is retained while your account exists. You may request deletion of your account data by emailing us.

6. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us at thedailyfivegame@gmail.com. You may also delete your account from within the game settings.

7. Children

Our games are suitable for all ages but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
